ANDREW MCILWRAITH, SENIOR ENGAGEMENT MANAGER
Since joining The Strategic Offsites Group® in 2005, Andrew McIlwraith has worked on a variety of issues in multiple industries. He has facilitated management teams through the crafting of Mission, Vision and Values statements, and assisted the development of strategies in marketing, food manufacturing and several areas of financial services. He has also helped design and facilitate offsites around initiative rationalization, new process introduction, optimizing innovation, and data taxonomy. Before joining Strategic Offsites, he spent nine years with Gemini Consulting (subsequently Cap Gemini Ernst & Young) in the Strategy practice. While at Gemini, Andrew leveraged his financial and strategy experience to develop Balanced Scorecards in a variety of industries, including consumer products, chemicals, and food ingredients. Other projects included work with an international French investment bank that wanted to reduce its asset base in the US, a conglomerate seeking to optimize internal services, and an internet company developing its business plan. Other project work included a distribution strategy for a consumer lawn and garden chemical company and a debit card strategy for a major regional retail bank. Prior to joining Gemini, Andrew worked as a credit analyst in the Specialized Finance arm of Dresdner Bank AG, London Branch. His responsibilities included analyzing several new leveraged and project finance loans, as well as several loans which had been reclassified into the specialized department. Before Dresdner, Andrew was with Citicorp Investment Bank Limited, London. Starting in the stockbroking division as a food manufacturing analyst, he moved into general corporate finance. Andrew graduated from Duke University with an AB in Economics and History.
